What is the vision and mission of FBA?

Mission:

To prepare students to become the next generation of Christian leaders: developing our students spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically; partnering with Christian families; and providing a Biblically integrated education of academic excellence to further the kingdom of God for His glory.

Vision:

A Biblically integrated college preparatory school committed to spiritual and academic excellence.

What is FBA’s philosophy?

FBA is founded on the philosophy of Kingdom Education, which focuses on the partnership between the home, school and church. This philosophy sets FBA apart as a biblical worldview training model for the next generation.

What grades does your school offer?

K-8

What are the school hours?

8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Do you have a before and after school program?

We supervise students before school from 7:00 to 8:10 a.m. After-school care is offered from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Occasional Care is an option as a convenience to our families.

Do you have a dress code?

Yes. FBA adheres to a dress code. To view the Dress Code Policy at FBA, please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook.

What curriculum do you currently use?

Textbooks and various other resources are selected to provide the faculty with the best tools available to accomplish our mission of equipping the next generation of Christian leaders to further the kingdom of God for His glory. Every subject is taught from a Christian perspective to promote the development of biblical worldview in the hearts and minds our students.

Is standardized testing administered at FBA?

Yes. We administer the TerraNova, 3rd Edition in the spring as our standardized assessment tool. Results are made available to parents.

Are your teachers certified?

Yes. Most teachers are certified by the Association of Christian Schools (ACSI) and the state of Florida.

Is your school accredited?

We are accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International.

Do you offer extra-curricular activities?

We offer intramurals, Vovinam, gymnastics, and dance.

Do you serve hot lunches?

FBC’s Chef and Food Services Personnel prepare hot meals to our students each day. Students are welcome to bring their lunches to school if they desire to do so.

What is the size of your current student body?

240 students K-8

Do you provide transportation?

Transportation to and from school is not available (exception: field trips).

What is your teacher/student ratio?

Kindergarten – 16:1
Grades 1-8 – 18:1

Must one be a Baptist to attend your Academy?

No. In fact, our students represent numerous churches throughout our community. Our faith is expressed through the belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, in the inerrancy of the Scripture, and that there is only one true, living, sovereign, holy and eternally existent God as expressed on our Statement of Faith.As a covenant/discipleship model school, we require that at least one parent/guardian be a born again Christian, but not exclusively Baptist.
