Is the school accredited?

Our school is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Is the school licensed?

Yes, our Early Education Division is licensed by Florida Department of Children and Families, License # C04DU0779.

What is the average student-to-teacher ratio?

The student-to-teacher ratio varies in each age group. Generally, the ratios are as follows:

  • Infants & Mobile Infants; 4:1
  • Toddlers & Transitioning Twos; 5:1
  • Twos; 6:1
  • Transitioning Threes; 7:1
  • Threes; 9:1
  • PreK; 9:1

What are the school hours?

  • Full-time, including Enhanced Pre-K: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Part-time and VPK Only: 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
  • Pre-K Lunch Bunch: M, W, F 8:30 am-12:00 pm
  • Office Hours: Monday - Friday (except school holidays) 8:00am - 6:00pm

Are scholarships available?

FBA's Early Education Division participates in Florida’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program, also known as VPK. In addition, FBA's Early Education Division accepts vouchers from the Jacksonville Children's Commission and Episcopal Children's Services. Families of full-time preschool students with active membership at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville will receive a $500 annual discount towards tuition.

Does FBA's Early Education offer enrichment activities?

Yes! We offer an exciting range of afternoon enrichment opportunities including private music instruction, pottery/art, martial arts, ballet and tap, gymnastics, and fitness for preschoolers. All full-time students will enjoy our daily specials that include library, special art/music, Chapel, Spanish, Share Day, cooking, gardening, technology, and missions.

Will meals be available, and, if so, what will be the cost?

Morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack are included in the weekly tuition price for full-time students. Lunch Bunch students may pack their lunch or purchase a school lunch for $3.00.

Does the school require uniforms?

Pre-K students are required to follow a dress code. All students are required to wear closed-toed shoes. Please refer to the Dress Code Policy for more specific information or contact us at (904) 265-7318.
